Elton John – “Elton John” [Purple Splatter 180g LP] Elton John’s self-titled sophomore album sparked the launch of his career when it was released in 1970. Best-known for it’s opening track, “Your Song,” this early Elton masterpiece has much more to offer, not least the gospel inflections of “Border Song,” and the blues-rocker, “Take Me To The Pilot.” Remastered in 2016 by Bob Ludwig and cut at Abbey Road Studios. Hand-pressed on purple splatter color 180g vinyl and housed in a clear PVC sleeve with backing card and obi-strip. Limited Edition. Limited colored vinyl LP pressing. 1970 release from the iconic British singer-songwriter.
